Mateflow lets you download several kinds of community data as files: member lists, course and event rosters, lists of your spaces, courses, and events, and analytics reports. This article lists every export (data export, CSV download, or backup) and where to find it. A space's posts and comments can't be exported.
Who can do this: Community owners and admins can use every export. Space admins can export their own space's members, and course admins their course's students. People who manage an event (its host, co-hosts, and the space's admins and moderators) can export its attendees. Moderators can't export member lists. · Where: Web. Space members and event attendees can also be exported in the iOS and Android apps. · Plan: Course, event, and analytics exports depend on those features being in your platform plan.
What you can export from your community

Member lists contain personal data such as email addresses, so store and share them according to your privacy policy.
What you can't export from a space
Mateflow doesn't export a space's content. There's no download or backup of a space's posts, comments, articles, media, chat messages, or questions and answers. Deleting a space deletes that content for good, so archive a space instead if you might need it later. See Archive, restore, or delete a space.
Export a space's member list
- Open the space's Manage panel: click the gear icon (Manage) on the space's page, or open the space's ⋯ menu in the sidebar and click Manage space.
- Click Members.
- Under Export Members (CSV), click Export Members (CSV), then Confirm Export.
The export appears under Recent exports as Queued, Running, then Done; click Download. The file lists each member's display name, username, email, role, access group, join date, and last active time. It stays available for 7 days, then shows Expired (click Re-export). If an export shows Failed, click Retry. Every export is logged for audit.
A space runs one export at a time and has a daily limit, shown as Daily quota. You can't export from an archived space; restore it first.
In the app: open the space, tap ⋯, tap Manage space, then Members and Export members. Tap New export, and when it's Completed, tap Download.
Export a course's students or an event's attendees
- Course students: in the course's Course Management panel, click Students, then Export CSV. The roster, with each student's progress, downloads right away. See Track learner progress.
- Event attendees: open the event, click Manage event, open Attendees, and click Export CSV. The file follows the status filter you've chosen. In Admin → Content → Events, open the event's Attendees tab; admins can choose CSV + email to include email addresses. See Manage RSVPs, capacity, and attendees.
Export lists from the admin console
- Members: in Admin → Members → Import / Export, open Export and click New Export, or select members in All Members and click Export. See Import and export members.
- Spaces: in Admin → Community → Spaces, filter the list if you like and click Export. A CSV file of the matching spaces downloads; courses aren't included.
- Courses: in Admin → Courses → All Courses, click Export. In Export Courses, choose a Format (CSV or JSON) and click Start export.
- Events: in Admin → Content → Events, select events and click Export ICS, or choose Export to calendar (.ics) in an event's menu. The calendar file can be imported into Google Calendar, Outlook, and similar apps.
These admin console exports are for community owners and admins.
Export an analytics report
In Admin → Analytics, open Members, Content, or Engagement and click Export. In Export Analytics Report, choose a Report Type and Date Range, click Export, then Download Report. See Understand your community analytics.
Members export their own data
Members can download a copy of their own profile, posts, comments, and messages from their account settings. See Export your data or delete your account.
To answer a data access request for a member, community owners and admins can open the member's page from Admin → Members → All Members and choose Export data (GDPR) in its actions menu. The archive is generated in the background.
