Bookmarks are your private reading list. Save a post you want to come back to, then find it later on your Bookmarks page. This article also explains how your bookmarks differ from a space's collections, since both help you find posts again.
Who can do this: Any signed-in member. · Where: Web and the Mateflow app for iOS and Android. Bookmark reminders and saved chat messages are on the web only. · Plan: Not plan-dependent.
Bookmark a post
- Web: click the bookmark icon under a post, article, or reply. The icon fills in and you see "Post bookmarked". You can also open the post's ⋯ menu and choose Bookmark.
- App: tap the bookmark icon under the post, or tap ⋯ and choose Bookmark.
To remove a bookmark, click the icon again or choose Remove Bookmark from the ⋯ menu (Remove bookmark in the app). You see "Bookmark removed".
Find your saved posts on the Bookmarks page
- Web: click your avatar and choose Bookmarks.
- App: open the menu (☰) and tap Bookmarks under You.
To find a bookmark again:
- Search: type in Search bookmarks. On the web, the search box appears once you have at least five bookmarks.
- Filter by space: on the web, when your bookmarks come from more than one space, click the Filter by space button and pick a space, or All spaces. In the app, tap a space chip, or All.
- Refresh: on the web, click Refresh bookmarks to reload the list.
If a moderator hides a post, it no longer opens from your bookmarks.
Set a reminder on a bookmark
On the web, you can have Mateflow remind you about a saved post.
- On the Bookmarks page, click Set reminder under the post.
- Pick 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week, or choose a Date and Time. The time must be at least a minute in the future.
- Optionally, under Note (optional), write why you saved it.
- Click Set reminder.
The bookmark then shows Reminds in …. At the chosen time you get a "Bookmark reminder" notification, and the bookmark shows Reminded. To change a reminder, click it to open Edit reminder, change the time or note, and click Save. Click Remove to delete the reminder but keep the bookmark.
Save messages in a chat space
Messages in a chat space are saved separately from post bookmarks. On the web, hover over a message, open More, and choose Save. To see them, open the chat space's ⋮ menu and choose Saved messages. Click Remove from saved to take one off the list. Saved messages don't appear on your Bookmarks page.
Bookmarks vs. collections in a space
Mateflow uses "collection" for a group of posts that a space's admins put together, such as a series of articles, a photo album, or a set of essential Q&A answers. Collections and bookmarks work differently:

Members can browse collections but can't create them or add posts to them, and there are no personal collections or bookmark folders. To browse a space's collections, open the space: on the web, they're in the Collections panel; in the app, they're in the Collections row above the posts. Open one to see its posts. Who can see your bookmarks
Your Bookmarks list is private. Other members can see how many times a post has been bookmarked, but not who bookmarked it.
