You don't have to publish the moment you finish writing. MateFlow's composer lets you save a post as a draft, schedule it to go live later, and tidy up your wording with AI before it reaches your community. This guide walks through all three.
Save a draft
While you're writing a post, the composer keeps your work so you can come back to it. You can also save a draft yourself, then close the composer and return whenever you like.
To reopen your saved work, open the Drafts panel from the composer. It has two tabs:
- Unsent — posts you've saved but not published yet. Each row shows a title or preview, when it was last saved, and small icons for any attached media, files, polls, audio, or GIFs.
- Scheduled — posts you've queued to publish at a future time (covered below).
Select any draft to load it straight back into the composer and keep editing. To clean up, use Edit in the Drafts panel to select one or more drafts and delete them, or use the delete button on an individual row.
Schedule a post to publish later
Instead of publishing now, you can pick a future date and time and let MateFlow post it for you.
- Open the Schedule publish picker from the composer.
- Choose a date on the calendar and set a time.
- The picker confirms exactly when the post will go live, shown in your own time zone (detected from your browser).
- The scheduled time must be at least a couple of minutes in the future — the Schedule button stays disabled until it is.
Once scheduled, the post moves into the Scheduled tab of the Drafts panel, where you can review, re-open, or reschedule it before it publishes.
Editing a scheduled post
Open the scheduled item from the Scheduled tab to load it back into the composer. From there you can change the content or clear the schedule so it becomes a normal draft again.
Polish your writing with AI Enhance
The composer includes an AI Enhance button (the sparkles icon) that helps improve a draft before you post it. Type some content first — the button is only active once there's text to work with.
Open it and choose how you want your text reworked, including options to:
- Improve the overall clarity and flow
- Proofread for spelling and grammar
- Expand a short note into something fuller
- Shorten a long passage
- Adjust the tone (for example, more professional or more casual)
- Translate the text into another language
Review the suggestion and apply it if you're happy — your original text is replaced with the enhanced version, which you can still edit by hand. AI Enhance is available when your community has AI writing features switched on.
