Buy add-ons and top up your wallet

Your plan & billing · 4 min read

Add-ons (on-demand add-ons) give your community more of a metered resource, such as storage or AI requests, on top of your platform plan. You buy them in the admin console, paying by card or from your community's wallet, a prepaid balance you top up in advance.

Who can do this: Only the community owner. Admins and billing admins see Owner access required. · Where: Web (admin console). The creator dashboard shows a read-only summary. · Plan: Which add-ons you can buy depends on your platform plan.

Open the Add-ons page

Go to Admin → Billing → Add-ons. The page is called Add-ons & on-demand. It has:

  • a Wallet balance card;
  • one card for each resource your plan offers on demand, for example AI Copilot, Storage, or Live participant-hours.

A card that says Not available on your current plan. can't be bought on your plan. If the page shows No on-demand resources, add-ons aren't available for your community.

You can also reach this page from Admin → Billing → Storage Usage by clicking Purchase Additional Storage.

Top up your community's wallet

The wallet is a prepaid balance for add-on purchases. It belongs to the community and only the owner can use it. Members don't have a wallet.

  1. On the Wallet balance card, click Add funds.
  2. Choose an amount, or enter one under Or enter a custom amount. The dialog shows the minimum and maximum top-up.
  3. Click Continue to payment and pay in Stripe checkout.

When you come back, the card may show Finalizing your top-up… for a moment, then Payment received — your balance is up to date.

Add-on purchases draw from the wallet first, before your card. If the wallet is in a different currency from an add-on, it can't pay for it; pay by card instead.

Buy extra storage (capacity add-ons)

Capacity add-ons, such as Storage, raise a limit. The card shows how much you've Used.

  1. On the resource card, click Buy more.
  2. In Buy more capacity, choose a pack. Packs are either one-time or charged per month.
  3. Choose Pay from balance or Pay by card, then click Buy.
  4. If Admin verification required appears, re-enter your admin password.

Your purchases are listed under Active add-ons, with the renewal date for monthly packs. Recurring add-ons renew until you cancel them. To cancel one, click the trash icon next to it and click Confirm.

Buy AI credits and other usage credits (consumption add-ons)

Consumption add-ons, such as AI Copilot credits, add usage on top of your plan's allowance. The card shows your Plan quota and your On-demand balance. Credits are used only after the plan's allowance runs out, and they roll over and don't expire.

  1. On the resource card, click Buy credits.
  2. Choose a pack, choose Pay from balance or Pay by card, and click Buy.

When the plan allowance is used up, the card shows Past your plan quota — now using on-demand. When credits also run out, it shows On-demand depleted, and that resource pauses until you top up or the allowance resets. For how AI usage is counted, see Understand AI usage and credits.

Turn on auto-recharge

Auto-recharge buys another pack automatically when a consumption balance runs low.

  1. On the resource card, click Auto-recharge.
  2. Turn on Enable auto-recharge.
  3. Set Buy when balance falls below, choose a Pack to buy, and enter a Monthly spending cap (required).
  4. Click Save.

Auto-recharge pays from your wallet, so keep the wallet funded. The card then shows the threshold and cap, or Auto-recharge is off.

See wallet and purchase history

On the Wallet balance card, click History. Transaction history has two tabs: Wallet (top-ups and credits, such as Top-up, Goodwill credit, and Refund to credit) and Purchases (your add-on purchases).

See add-ons for all communities in the creator dashboard

Dashboard (app.mateflow.com) → Billing has an AI & storage add-ons section with your Total wallet balance and, for each community, On-Demand this month and its Wallet balance. It's read-only: click a community to open its Add-ons page. The workspace owner and teammates with Finance access can see it.
