Track revenue, earnings, and payouts

Monetization · 5 min read

Mateflow shows what members pay you in two places: each community's admin console, and the creator dashboard for all your communities together. This guide covers the revenue pages, how payouts from Stripe work, and where to get tax forms. It's about member revenue, not what you pay Mateflow for your platform plan.

Who can do this: Community owners and admins see the revenue pages in the admin console. In the creator dashboard, the workspace owner and teammates with Finance access see Revenue. · Where: Web (admin console and creator dashboard). · Plan: Available when your platform plan includes Paid memberships.

Where to find revenue reports

Page What it shows
Admin → Monetization → Overview One community's headline revenue figures and Revenue Trend
Admin → Monetization → Revenue Analytics MRR, revenue per user, churn, and each plan's performance
Admin → Monetization → Earnings Earnings for a period you choose, with a CSV export
Admin → Monetization → Payments Individual payments. See Manage subscribers, payments, and refunds
Dashboard (app.mateflow.com) → Revenue Revenue across all your communities, plus Payouts and Tax forms

Until Stripe is connected, the admin console pages show Stripe not connected with a Connect Stripe button. See Connect Stripe and get paid.

Revenue amounts are what members paid, before Stripe's processing fee and the platform fee.

Check a community's revenue in the admin console

Admin → Monetization → Overview (Monetization Overview) shows Gross Revenue, Net (After Fees), Active Subscribers, Avg Revenue / User, Churn Rate, Trial Conversion, and Avg. Lifetime Value, with a Revenue Trend chart.

Admin → Monetization → Revenue Analytics shows:

  • Monthly Recurring Revenue, Active Subscribers, Average Revenue Per User, and Churn Rate, compared vs last period.
  • A Revenue Trend chart for 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or 1 year.
  • Plan Performance: each subscription plan's Subscribers, MRR, and Benefits.

To see one plan only, go to Admin → Monetization → Subscription Plans and click Analytics on the plan's card. Click Show all plans to go back.

Export earnings for a period

  1. Go to Admin → Monetization → Earnings.
  2. Choose a period: Last 7 days, Last month, Last 3 months, or Last year.
  3. Review Total Revenue (paid invoices in the period), MRR and ARR, Active Subscribers, and Churn Rate.
  4. Click Export to download the figures as a CSV file.

The Payouts & Fees card is a reminder that Stripe holds the real settlement amounts, fees, and payout schedule. Click View payouts in Stripe and sign in with your own Stripe account to see them.

See revenue across all your communities

In the creator dashboard, Dashboard (app.mateflow.com) → Revenue → Overview combines every community. Filter by community (All communities or one) and by period (Last 7 days to Last 12 months).

  • Total revenue, MRR, ARR, and Paying members (counted once even if they pay several communities).
  • Revenue trend over the period.
  • Revenue by source, such as subscriptions and one-time purchases.
  • Revenue by community, with each community's MRR and Stripe status. The workspace owner can click Stripe Dashboard next to a community to open its Stripe account.

Track payouts to your bank

Members pay into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays your balance out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. Mateflow doesn't hold the money.

Go to Dashboard (app.mateflow.com) → Revenue → Payouts to see payouts from all your communities:

  • Next payout estimated shows the next expected payout.
  • Filter by Status (Pending, In transit, Paid, Failed, Canceled) and by Community.
  • Each row shows the Community, Amount, Status, Arrival date, Created date, and Stripe ref.
  • Click a payout to see its Line items (orders, refunds, and adjustments) with Gross, Fee, and Net amounts. Click Open in the Stripe Dashboard (sign-in required) for the full record.

In the admin console, use View payouts in Stripe on Earnings.

Get tax forms for member payments

Your Stripe account is your own, so Stripe sends year-end tax forms, such as a 1099-K, directly to you as the account holder. Download them from your Stripe Dashboard.

The Tax forms tab in Dashboard (app.mateflow.com) → Revenue doesn't list these forms.

Troubleshooting revenue reports

Symptom: Earnings shows No Revenue Data Available. Why it happens: Revenue data couldn't be loaded, usually because Stripe Connect isn't set up. Fix: Finish connecting Stripe on Admin → Monetization → Stripe Connect, then click Try again.

Symptom: Revenue figures are higher than your Stripe payouts. Why it happens: Revenue is counted before fees, and payouts arrive on Stripe's schedule. Fix: Compare with the payout's Net amounts, or check the balance in your Stripe Dashboard.
