MateFlow does not hold your money. Every paid subscription, course, and one-off charge runs through Stripe Connect using your own Stripe account, so funds settle directly to you and you keep full control over your payout schedule, tax details, and refunds.
Connecting your Stripe account
Open Admin → Monetization → Stripe and choose Connect with Stripe. You are handed off to Stripe's secure onboarding to enter your business and bank details, then returned to MateFlow. Stripe handles PCI-compliant card processing and supports cards, wallets, and other regional methods.
The Stripe page shows your live account status so you always know whether you can take money and receive it:
- Charges — whether new payments can be accepted.
- Payouts — whether settled funds can be paid out to your bank.
- Details submitted — whether onboarding is complete.
- Requirements — any verification Stripe still needs; resolve these in the Stripe Dashboard to avoid interruptions.
If onboarding is unfinished the page prompts you to Resume onboarding. If Stripe is later disconnected, existing subscriptions keep billing but new checkouts are disabled until you reconnect.
What fees apply
Two separate fees come out of each transaction: Stripe's own payment-processing fee, and MateFlow's platform fee.
| Fee | Who charges it | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe processing fee | Stripe | Standard card-processing rate (typically around 2.9% + a fixed per-charge amount) |
| Platform fee | MateFlow | Starts at 3% and drops toward 0% as your revenue scales |
The important part: the platform fee is applied on top of Stripe's processing cost, and it is not fixed. It begins at 3% and steps down as you grow, so successful creators keep a larger share over time. Your current platform-fee rate is shown on the Stripe page once payments are live.
How payouts work
Because charges flow into your connected account, payouts are managed by Stripe, not MateFlow. Funds accumulate in your Stripe balance and are paid to your bank on Stripe's schedule — commonly within a few business days of a charge, depending on your account and country.
To see real settlement amounts, payout timing, and historical balance transactions, open the Stripe Dashboard from the Stripe page or the Earnings screen. If you ever see "payouts temporarily disabled," charges are still processing normally and your earnings are safe in your Stripe balance — check the Dashboard for any verification Stripe is waiting on.
Tracking earnings inside MateFlow
The Earnings view summarizes total revenue, MRR and ARR, active subscribers, new and trialing members, and churn over a period you choose (7 days to 1 year). You can export the figures to CSV, and jump straight to View payouts in Stripe for the settlement detail.
