Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your account directly from the Mateflow app:

1. Open the Mateflow app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Privacy & safety.
3. Under Your data, tap “Deactivate or delete account”.
4. In the Delete account section, enter your password and type DELETE_MY_ACCOUNT to confirm.
5. Confirm. Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after a short cool-down period, during which you can cancel from the same screen. After that, the account and its data are permanently removed.

Prefer to keep your account recoverable? The same screen also offers Deactivate, which temporarily disables your account without deleting it.

If you can no longer sign in, email us and we'll delete your account for you:

• Email: hello@mateflow.com
• Subject: “Account deletion request”
• Include: the email address associated with your Mateflow account, so we can verify the request.

We will verify ownership, complete the deletion, and respond within 30 days.

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove your personal data, including your profile, posts, comments, reactions, messages, and uploaded media.

We may retain a limited amount of data where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial/compliance reasons (for example, transaction records), and only for as long as necessary. Content you shared publicly may persist in other members' copies or in aggregated, de-identified form. This is described further in our Privacy Policy.
