Turn comments off on your own post
Authors can now close a post to replies outright — a new “Nobody” audience alongside Everyone, Following and Mentioned. Where you can’t reply, the composer is replaced by a line saying why: the author closed it, a moderator locked the thread, or the space doesn’t take replies. Replies already posted stay visible.
Paste a link, get a quote
Paste a link to a post from your own community and it becomes a real quote instead of a scraped preview card. That means a working quote count, an entry on the original’s quotes page, and a notification for its author — and a post from a private space no longer comes back as a blank card titled “Post”. On web and mobile.
Search inside a space or a profile
Spaces and profiles now have their own search page. Search a space across posts, events and members; search a profile across posts, replies, articles and media. Results render in the space’s own layout, and the term lives in the URL so you can share or bookmark it. On mobile, post search adds a Media filter for anything with an attachment.
Who can read and who can join are now separate
A space’s visibility no longer decides who gets in. Visibility became three presets, with the join policy — open, request, paid or invite — set independently, so a publicly readable space can still admit nobody. Spaces that want a message with a join request now collect one, and an invite-only space shows no join button rather than one that can only fail.
Event times on your own clock
Event times now render in your timezone everywhere — cards, embeds and the detail page — with the host’s time noted only when the two differ. Times you submit are stamped with the offset of the timezone you picked, not your device’s.

- Security alerts show device, location, time and IP in your own language and timezone, instead of raw email markup.
- Articles lead their sidebar with the author, and the outline stays with you as you read.
- The audio player counts down while a clip plays.
- Starting a message with someone whose privacy settings decline it now says so, and a refused reaction explains why.
- Read-only spaces no longer invite you to post, and articles can only be published to spaces that accept them.
